I have a special feature every week as part of Polka Celebration entitled "Collectors' Corner" During this segment I talk about the featured guest artist of the past and also play 6-8 recordings. I also celebrate birthdays of the artists by playing their music which allows for their exposure on my show. Occasionally I have live guests or phone call guests that I interview.
Also, I discuss some cultural or religious celebrations as well as feature the appropriate music. I also remember listeners who are celebrating a special events in their life i.e. birthdays, anniversaries and the passing away of a loved one as well as their families. I also honor listeners' requests. |
